Fluorescents have been very popular in the filmmaking world due to their low-cost, cool running, bulbs. You can achieve a very soft, bright light source, which is perfect for key-lights, at a very reasonable price!

This is a pretty neat light fixture when you consider the price. For £75.00 you get a four bulb light which outputs a LOT more light than any LED in that price range.

But, if you replace the bulbs with higher quality ones, then you get a light source which is even brighter, and doesn’t have a green tint.
