What I learned from spending four days filming a short film.
This behind the scenes follows a fairly typical process for filming a shot:
- Walkthrough with key collaborators
- Set up camera (roughly)
- Walkthrough with Actors
- Go for a take
- Performance notes for actors
- Tweak blocking (movement, positions, camera placement)
- Repeat 5-7 until you’ve got what you need.
THIS WEEK’S DSLR GUIDE:
every creative project i’ve taken on involved plenty of frustration & self doubt. learning that it’s okay if I don’t enjoy every aspect
