How to get better production audio on set.
I’d split production audio into three goals:
- already have a plan for post production sound (create opportunities to use sound creatively)
- get the mic in the right place (boom operator)
- minimise background sounds (wait)
- record wildtrack sound effects on location (time permitting)

Filmmaker, and host of DSLRguide. Since I was making my first film age 11, I have always been fascinated by the way films are produced, and the effect it can have on the audience.
