While big movies have advertising campaigns with trailers, posters, reviews, news stories and interviews – here on YouTube the title and thumbnail are pretty much all we have in terms of ‘advertising’. People will scroll through their subscription feed, search results, or suggested videos, and decide if they want to watch your video or not. The main information helping their decision is the title, and of course the thumbnail.
So we’re clear that thumbnails are important, right?
